| section but would like to hear what you guys think first. First off, my sz exhaust sounds amazing at WOT on the highway. And it appears to be made of high quality materials and engineering. Here's the problem; if driving in stop and go traffic or around town I find myself constantly adjusting my driving in order to avoid that pesky 2k'ish drone. It's not horribly load but I guess I am quite the sissy and would just prefer stock level exhaust notes. It involves driving very lightly and shifting way to soon. I don't have to drive this car so it could be just a track/weekend car but that's really not what I want. My car is old(I suppose they all are) and has a lot of miles...180,xxx. It's in great mechanical shape but is far from show room condition. I just want to drive it(a lot!) and not be paranoid about hurting it. I really would like to avoid anything that would make me not want to drive it often. To be clear I wish to retain the sz dp's, tp's and x pipe but re-install stock muffler sections. Anyways, this is what I am pondering:
How much of a bottleneck would the stock muffler section create? Is the muffler section even the root cause of the loader then stock exhaust sound? If I were to replace the pipe section with 2.5" piping that flowed better with less of a bend(like the sz's) would that make any difference or will the stock mufflers negate the piping improvements? And lastly, anyone have a good set of stock mufflers?
